Vogel boots are handcrafted from premium leather and, when properly cared for, they will maintain their exquisite look and feel for a long time.

Topical contaminants like salt and dirt can affect the longevity of your Vogels, but routine cleaning will keep your boots in top condition. It’s a good idea to use boot trees so that your boots are easier to work with and hold their shape.

  • Using a soft brush, gently remove dirt, salt, and other debris from both the leather uppers and the stitching where the boots join the sole. Remember to start from the upper to the sole.
  • Dampen a clean cloth and wipe off any remaining dust particles. Let your boots dry before proceed to other cleaning step.

  • Use a glycerine based soap, and avoid chemicals spray, they would dry and damage the structure of leather itself.
  • Use a soft, clean damp sponge (better if a natural sea sponge) to apply the cream in small circular motions from the upper to the sole. Leave the cream to penetrate for at least 15 minutes before gently wiping off excess with a soft cloth. Best cream to clean and nourish leather are beeswax, mink oil, lanolin or almond oil made.
  • You may want to polish your boots to enhance their color and shine. Apply the appropriate polish in the same manner as the cream, with a soft brush, wiping off excess with a cloth or a soft brush.

Now that you’ve cared for your Vogel boots, keep them looking their best by storing them
with the boot trees in place and away from exposure to the elements.

Remember to leave away your boots from humidity, direct water or sunny/extracold zones.

Never let your boots dry in front of a direct hot heather.

How frequently you care for your Vogels depends on how often you ride, however the best suggestion to treat your boots right is to clean them after every use and let them dry before putting them into a boot holder or a locker.
