Measure Twice, Cut Once

After choosing your design, we take precise measurements of your feet—and calves for boots—because no two feet are alike. From these measurements, our artisans create a unique “last”—a contoured foot block that mirrors your feet and serves as the foundation for all your Vogel footwear.

The Sample Fitting

Your last is used to create a trial pair of shoes in standard leather, ensuring a perfect fit. This step, akin to a basted fitting in bespoke tailoring, preserves the integrity of your final footwear’s precious materials. In this stage all fit and design details can be adjusted and enhanced.

Delivery of Perfection

Once fit and feel are confirmed, our artisans begin crafting your final shoes or boots—a process involving over 100 meticulous steps. In 6-8 weeks, your Vogel masterpiece will be ready. While shipping is available, many clients prefer to visit our New York studio for a final fitting and celebration with the Vogel team.
